History
The Davis-Linden Building was first built in 1889 to house the Davis Sewing Machine Factory when it moved to Dayton from Watertown, NY. The factory once had 60 buildings across 7 acres. In 1892 the company began producing bicycles. Davis Sewing Machine Company was sold in 1925 and founded the Huffman Manufacturing company which later became known as Huffy. The company moved to Celina, OH in 1955 and the building was sold in parts and converted for different uses. Starting in the 1970's the section now known as the Davis-Linden Building started being used as individual studios for different artistic and manufacturing purposes.

We will have more details and photos conceiving the building's history in the near future.
